As a former actress and singer, Candy makes her presentations come alive with a commanding presence and powerful voice.

In addition, Candy was the "go-to" person when Time wanted an evaluation of the presentation skills of the 2000 presidential candidates. Of Al Gore, she said, "We all know what charisma is … Al Gore doesn't have it." She's also been quoted in other periodicals such as Allure and Women's World and has been a columnist in various association publications. Candy's the author of The Expressive Voice System of vocal development.

As well as being a professional member of the National Speakers Association, the Voice and Speech Trainers Association and a Past President of NSA/St. Louis. She's also associated with The Center for Voice in St. Louis.
